Success Comes from Two Directions
The most bloggers just write as a venue to express his or her ideas. The professional blogger writes from a passion with the hopes he has enough people paying reading his blog. While at the same time another group will sponsor his writings.
For some the mere thought of having X number of people reading their blog is success enough. These are people with a passion. These are people who want to be heard. This is fine and dandy for the casual blogger.
Now to make the leap from casual blogging, or notice website there is involved work other than the website. There are many who want to make that leap, and don’t. Then there are those just use their blog and/or website as a means to an end.
Take Craig Ballhagen with his blog titled MyFirstBoiseHome.com. His primary income is not from writing his blog. His blog is to help people through the process of getting the long ordeal of buying that first home, in Boise Idaho.
Through out his blog there is links to resources from getting your credit score to the restaurant for the celebration dinner, after the mortgage is approved. Then there is post on what it is like to keeping up with mortgage payment. A lot of good practical advice that any first time home buyer needs to know.
I have used Craig’s blog as an example as to where most blog and/or websites fall. Not a business card, not a yellow page ad, but content that is a sample of how this person, and their business can help make you life better.
